common sense would tell you to pull the plastic intake manifold off the head instead of pulling the linkage assembly

Double lock nut the stud with the nuts that came off with the air box and pull one stud out and it gives you enough room to pop the linkage off without bending or disassembly of the whole thing

Brother! Put the carb back slightly bend the choke rod should allow you to barley pop the carb off the studs and remove the throttle linkage

Your supposed to use the nuts that hold the Air filter assembly on, and jam them together on the long studs and they come out easy

You can take the long bolts out. It takes a very small socket like a 9/32. You just made yourself a large mess. lol

just pull the bracket off the block like you did then leave the rods attached to that bracket, wiggle bracket every which way you need to in order to get those linkage rods off the carb. Once carb is off, half way bolt the bracket back on. It’ll be ready for ya when you go to install carb back on.
