Just remove the lose stone and install 1/2" board. too much extra work. I would do Epdm a lot faster

Why take the stone off if you’re just going to rip it anyway? easier to keep the stone on each piece instead of adding an extra step

I had that same roof on my Row home in South Philly for 45 years had to replace it bc we sold the house new owners wanted it replaced.. added $ 10k to selling price. New owners did not blink an eye and said do it!!!!
