@curtisagardner: Most customers never actually see the repair they paid for. That’s why I send a follow-up video after large repairs. Here are 3 reasons I do this: 1️⃣- Confirmation the repair was done correctly: Customers rarely see the finished repair. A follow-up video shows the repaired components and confirms everything is operating the way it should. 2️⃣- Transparency and trust: Automotive repairs can feel like a mystery to customers. Showing the completed work removes uncertainty and builds trust in the process. 3️⃣- Education for the customer: A post-repair video helps customers understand what was repaired, why it mattered, and what to watch for in the future. When customers understand their vehicle, they make better decisions about maintaining it.
how many hours do you get paid for post repair videos

The 3 things you mentioned to me are all things the advisor should take initiative on informing the customer and maintaining trust if they can’t do that why are they there? Though I am curious when you make these videos do you see more customers coming in asking for you by name to work on their car?

Vehicle has such low mileage but has a lifter issue? Everything is green, but one tire is @10 and others @6-7 ?

I dont think customers care as much as you think they do about videos when they’re getting charged 280 an hour.

This should 100% be a service writers job or a dedicated QC manager position. Techs don’t need to do a post video.
