Especially being in possession of a firearm without a FOID when FOIDs are unconstitutional, and if I understand it correctly, was already ruled as such. However, the DV offense wouldn’t allow him to have a firearm anyway

I had a ccl in Chicago it honestly doesn't mean nothing u fire a firearm even with ccl u are now the aggressor im fitting a case going on 2 years smh

I got 2 felony charges for an unlawful possession of a firearm arm over 45. Cal & ammunition with no foid card. I went to juvenile detention for a month, I was on house arrest for 3 months and on parole for 18 months. I was 16, I’m 17 about to turn 18, and I’ve turned my life around and became a complete better person. So in my eyes. Yes I would understand allowing people with non violent felonies to purchase firearms. But I think at the same time that should spark up the topic of how we need to better prisons and institutions that only make criminals more violent and not actually setting them up to be a better person in society.

it's your constitutional right to bear arms so to confine someone for possession of a firearm is a violation of your constitutional rights I don't know why attorneys don't raise this point in court
