I’m very confused about what their point is supposed to be. That evolution isn’t real but there are all these extinct animals that just *happen* to look remarkably similar to modern humans yet are completely unrelated? Do they think this is all just a bizarre coincidence?

I’ve always questioned why lucy is the more famous one, here in south africa we get taught about “little foot” the Australopithecus fossil found in sterkfontein, being 90% complete and also the Australopithecus Africanus fossil “Mrs Ples” (visiting the cradle of humankind as a kid was my dream i’ve always loved fossils and evolution, very interesting visit i do reccomend)

I briefly did a forensics class in high school and it’s insane how much you can learn from just the bones alone. They are so important for understanding not just humans but the history of our planet
