autism assessor here- the processing speed results are a lot more complex than that, I doubt your question impacted results at all, you're likely thinking about the processing speed index quite literally 😀

I did a course a few years ago and got 19 high distinctions (out of 32) and I feel like if I did it again I would do better. My year 12 score was a remarkable average of 50.1

I was like that when I have the symbols one. he said geniuses complete it. it threw down the challenge to me to want to complete it and I hate myself still that I didn't. got damn close though.

if its helps, not all the subtests are timed and also once you get into the high 90s the WAIS isnt great at differentiating (between 96 and 99th % for example)

But are you looking at it the wrong way? I thought it means that in a room of 100 then 96 of them are better at processing than you, lol 🤷🏻♀️that’s why when people get high scores in tests that the really smart ones are like in the top 2% etc.

I did mine with undiagnosed/untreated adhd & memory issues from medication/ptsd. I still think I have potential that wasn’t tested and am more intelligent than my test showed & the WAIS is to this day one of the most frustrating things I’ve ever done💁🏻i also don’t think these tests can be accurate for iq for ND folk as our brains work so differently! (Im glad they didn’t give me an overall score though idk if they could’ve as it was quite inconsistent). I remember thinking I know I can do these tasks but I can’t do them the way the test allows 🙃. Aaanyway. My scores varied from very low to average (most) to extremely high & that high amount of average dropped my self esteem. You could say I have unresolved issues from those cognitive tests 🫣
