I did not clock actually that McKay was an R3. I feel like she’s usually shown with a lot more independence treating patients than King

There is no R5/PGY5 in EM residency, which is either 3 or 4 years. He is repeating his PGY4 year because he’s been in rehab/recovery for the past 10 months.

I love Dr Robby 100% but I would like to see an entire season during the night shift with Dr Abbott running the show. it would be cool. I'm ok if they spin it off as a standalone "The Pitt: Nightshift"

They are called “residents” because in the olden days they would live at the hospital/on hospital grounds to be available 24/7. The attendings lived in their own homes.

Nice job! I’m a surgeon. One critique. Robbie is not the boss because he’s board certified, it’s because he’s fully licensed meaning he has graduated from an accredited residency. You do NOT have to be board certified unless hospital requires it. But 95% of doctors are board certified

This is why I don't understand why they went so hard on Javadi for her forgetting that patient. Shouldn't that mistake actually fall on Whitaker and Robby? They're the actual doctors for that patient.

Also, Dr. Garcia is not a senior resident as of Season 2, she is a fellow. Think of it as a resident but for further sub-specialization. Dr. Garcia is the trauma surgery fellow.
