U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) arrested 28 crew members from Disney Cruise Line ships on charges connected to human trafficking. According to authorities, 27 of the 28 were involved in the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of child se*ual exploitation material (CSEM), also known as child pornography. Of those detained, 26 were from the Philippines, one from Indonesia, and one from Portugal. All 28 are being returned to their countries of citizenship. A Disney Cruise Line spokesperson told Variety: “We have a zero-tolerance policy for this type of behavior and fully cooperated with law enforcement. While the majority of these individuals were not from our cruise line, those who were are no longer with the company.” This story has received relatively little mainstream coverage despite the serious nature of the allegations.#creatorsearchinsights
