So handyman here... You can find lost jewelry in the p-trap (the 180 degree turn in pipe under your sink). the jewelry is too heavy to pass back up the pipe and into your drain. With a bucket or bowl under it to catch water and a wrench you can access it extremely easy. Don't waste your money on these products. Learn how your house works! <3

It's a great idea in case you drop anything down the drain, but otherwise, I can only imagine the smell and the bacteria that's built up as stuff is getting clogged up in that. You'd have to clean that thing every single day to avoid that.
