@homewithkat_: DIY £15 SHAKER PANELLING GUIDE ⬇️ I panelled another wall whilst my husband was at work 😂 is this becoming a pattern… no but sorry I am CHUFFED! It’s transformed the space 🙌🏼✨ guide for measuring & the tools you need below! I got everything I needed from B&Q! TOOLS NEEDED: 2 x £15.97 MDF shaker panelling kits 1.2m in height 21 x 29 x 2400mm Scotia Pine trim for dado rail Pencil & paper Spirit level No more nails glue & caulk, MDF primer & paint of choice! MEASUREMENT GUIDE: (If you’re not sure you could use chat gpt but I like to do it myself!) 1. Measure width of wall 2. I knew my height as I was using the full MDF strip height of 1.2m as they come 3. Measure width of MDF strip (say 10cm) 4. Decide how many panel squares (ish) you want for your aesthetic - completely your choice if you want less your gaps will look wider, if you want more they will look smaller. I wanted 7! 5. If I want 7 panels, I need 8 strips stuck across. They are 10cm wide so that’s 80cm in strip widths. 6. Take the width of your wall, and minus your strip widths (mine was 80cm as above) 7. Whatever you’re left with, divide that by how many panel gaps you want (I wanted 7). That number is how wide each gap is! 8. Draw onto paper and check numbers add up! Draw onto wall! Any questions please ask in comments! 🤍✨ hope you like it! 🥰🤍 Lots of love, Kat xxxxxxx #bedroommakeover #panelling #panellinginspo #DIY #diyhome
