@lucie_baker: you’ll only make sustainable progress addressing the ROOT CAUSE of why your hair is thinning which is NOT a hormonal imbalance. Ask further, WHY have you (potentially) got a hormonal imbalance? WHY is your cortisol dysregulated, WHY is your progesterone/oestrogen balance off etc. To address my root causes I’ve had to be very strict with myself about actually getting 8-9 hours sleep (rearranging my schedule to ensure I keep that promise to myself), making some changes to my diet, and ensuring I’m filling in nutrient gaps (from years of restrictive eating and being in a state of low energy availability >> downregulating my thyroid, progesterone production in favour of cortisol etc). Daily organs, collagen and colostrum has been a foundational part of bringing back more highly bioavailable nutrients into my body (aka my body actually absorbs them). As consistency is everything I knew I needed a way to incorporate them into routine into something I’d actually look forward to, so voila!! my nightly collagen hot cacao was born 🪽 it also hits that post dinner sweet treat something something perfectly.
