@tiracado: How to Train Cucumbers to Grow Vertically 🌱 Trellis Tips I’ve been letting my cucumber plant grow freely in the greenhouse, but it’s starting to take over a bit. In this video, I’m guiding the vines back toward the trellis and gently wrapping the tendrils so the plant can climb naturally. Cucumbers are natural climbers and do really well when grown vertically on a trellis or support structure. Growing them vertically can help improve airflow around the plant, make harvesting easier, and save valuable garden space. 🌱 Beginner Tips for Training Cucumber Plants: • Gently wrap the vine or tendrils around the trellis so the plant learns where to climb. • Check the plant every few days and guide any new vines back toward the support structure. • Growing cucumbers vertically helps improve airflow and can reduce disease while making fruit easier to harvest. • Use soft ties or clips if the vine needs extra support while it attaches itself. It’s amazing how giving the plant a little direction helps it grow exactly where you want it to.
