ngl i was highkey laughing at peoples comments making fun of the animation style but now that i watched it its actually good and sad. its also has a very unique animation style. people like to complain how most movies these days r made soulless and generic but once someone actually does something unique but its weird how they dont get the same applause as other unique groundbreaking animation styles like arcane and spiderverse. literally every frame of this movie looked like a watercolor painting like this is the average scene btw its beautiful visually. people r just making fun of it looking weird and melting because that scene was seen from the kids perspective its supposed to be cartoonish and silly and also because in that scene it was from hallucination

I had to adjust to the visuals at first, but this is unironically one of the most impressive animated films I've ever seen. Like I can't even fathom how complex some of those rigs had to be. Nevermind the rendering for the textures and the water. This movie feels so strange. Like there genuinely ISNT a movie like it. It's uncanny and beautiful at the same time. Plotwise the movie is alright for the most part. Very Ghibli-esque. But that ending is something else lol
