@travelwithyulan: a view I’ll never forget 🧊❄️ located in Los Glaciares National Park, the Perito Moreno Glacier is a 97 sq mile ice formation. it’s the world’s third largest preserve of fresh water and was one of a few rare glaciers that kept its size due to its growth accumulating at the same rate as loss. unfortunately, likely due to climate change, it’s been retreating on the northern front since 2020. it’s located a little over an hour from El Calafate and you can reach it by car, bus or book a tour. here’s all the info you need to know for visiting: — the park opens at 8am so book the earliest transfer you can to get there. it gets very crowded throughout the day! — I did a boat tour to the glacier and would definitely recommend it. you can book it once you arrive if you don’t have it included in a tour. — trekking on the ice starts at around $250+ but the views are truly incredible so if you can afford it, do it. I didn’t this time but the videos I’ve seen look so cool. — if you don’t do the boat or trekking, it’s still worth it to check out all the different walkways and views of the glacier. many people just do this and still get amazing views! — bring layers. it gets cold when you’re close to the glacier but on a sunny day, you may get hot after walking around. — there’s a free shuttle that runs from the top of the park to the lower area, so if you take a path all the way to the bottom like I did, you can hop on to save your legs. #travel #solotravel #glacier #argentina #creatorsearchinsights
