You don’t go to Umrah because you have money, you go because Allah invites you and when Allah invites you he will also provide for you. Once you receive the invite once and experience the beauty, peace, tranquility, mercy and love of Allah’s home, your heart and soul yearn to be invited again and again.

I think this is a valid point. But being invited back by Allah is a blessing - every visit brings a different kind of change.

No. It's not enough. Not even Umrah alone. I want to MOVE and live in Madinah so I can go anytime I want and be close to the blessed Masjids. The only place that feels like home in this world.

This…. This neeeds normalising….. the amount u are paying for doing umrah again and again could help a needy or maybe give someone else a chance to do the umrah…

The mindset of equating doing umrah multiple times = to taking someone else’s spot is flawed because we are perceiving this from a worldly perspective. Allahs invitation is personal. He invites whom he wishes regardless of financial position and socioeconomic status. There are so many people that have the funds but are not able to perform umrah due to various reasons, it may be not having the yearning or guidance to go, or simply not making a priority. We should all make it a goal to continuously visit his house, as umrah purifies and honestly there is no place one would repeatedly visit other than his house. Ask anyone who has been to umrah, the yearning never truly goes away. If Allah has given you the means, most definitely help others perform umrah but you shouldn’t limit yourself to only one umrah especially if you’ve been given the means. Is there a better way to spend your wealth than in his path?

Totally agree. Going time and time again while others dont have the means even worse os selfish. My husband and I have helped other's to do Hajj and would continue to do what we could to help other's that dont have the means to do so

I used to think like this until I went to Saudi and did umrah myself and now I cant help going there again and again because the beauty and peace you experience in Makkah and Madinah, is like no other SubhanaAllah... 🤲

There should be a make-a-wish type of charity but for Muslims who really want to go to umrah 🥺 and we can all donate to make their dream come true.

I see ur point and I used to think the same but then I came across a post regarding umrah. it said umrah is recommended more than once as it expiates what sins come in between. The Prophet (PBUH) stated: "From one Umrah to another is expiation for what comes in between" (Bukhari, Muslim). do it more than once but yes, allow for others to get a chance to do so too.

I always thought one umrah and one hajj should be enough but never thought why, how wonderful of a person you are to think about others and giving them a chance to visit makkah too💗

Before my brother went to Haj twice himself with my parents, he sent my Moms sister first. As someone who had no support, no spouse, no children, he thought of her first. She preformed first. The blessings, the blessings poured. For when we think of others, Allah also thinks of US. Beautiful sentiment. May Allah SWT allow all of us to do the same at some point. Ameen ❤️

Do both. If Allah invites you again, that’s out of His mercy towards you. But this thought also entered your mind for a reason, so give as well. We don’t ask Allah for success in just this world or just in the hereafter—we ask for both.

Some people don’t want to travel to Japan or Belize the would rather go to Umrah. Don’t judge you go once if you can everyone has the right to choose how they spend their money.

I was like you before, questioning people I knew for going every year. But now, without realising, my heart yearn to go back. I did Haj once and Umrah 5 times. Subhanallah! The peace & tranquility is just irreplaceable. Cant ignore the invitation 😭

Can’t think like that BUT pray Allah calls everyone that desires to go and to call me again and again. It’s an addiction, a craving and a yearning to visit the blessed lands again and again. In shaa Allah 🤲🏽🤲🏽

If someone has the means why not umrah is an invitation. You can also do umrah on someones behalf who can’t go.

Erm no I don’t quite agree with that. I cannot stay away and I go for umrah a couple times a year and when Allah Wills I will also go for Hajj - we have to remember we are ‘called’. If you feel like you can keep away then send someone else. If Allah has given us the means to keep coming and going and also send someone else then we can do both. But putting a limit on something so beautiful is just a form of deprivation.

I get where you’re coming from and in this economy it is quite hard to save up for Umrah. But being able to do Umrah and Hajj isnt up to us, its what Allah ﷻ has decreed for us. And if he decreed for us to go 5-6 times, then nothing can stop that. Umrah expiates your sins, so each time you do an Umrah, you return back as a new born baby. Whilst its not obligatory, I definitely feel like performing Umrah multiple times throughout your life should be encouraged if you can afford it.

Been there 3 years in a row and in sha Allah I'll be back for another Umrah and Hajj on Gods willing. The thing is, you get invited. And you pray for others to get invited. This is not a competition, not a bout jealousy or "i went you did not". This is about rizq and Allah swt is the provider.
