Hello, I am from Panama and my boyfriend is from Turkey. He was supposed to travel today to visit me, but unfortunately he was not allowed to board the flight. At the boarding gate, after he had already checked in his luggage, an employee asked him for a hotel reservation in Panama. However, he did not have a hotel reservation because he was planning to stay at my home during his visit. This is not the first time he has traveled to Panama. He has visited several times before and he has never been asked for a hotel reservation. He also told me that other passengers were only asked to show their passports, but in his case they specifically required a hotel reservation. Because of this, he lost valuable time, missed his flight, and lost the money he paid for the ticket. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that they did not allow him to make a reservation at that moment either. The only solution they offered was that he should buy a new ticket for the next flight, make a hotel reservation, and then they would allow him to travel. I do not understand why he was treated this way when he has traveled to Panama before without any problems.
