It was a great read, holy fyp pull. You kind of helped me to put into words my thoughts about romance in oregairu that I had through these years. I think you are very close (if not right on point) to what Wataru Watari tried to express in oregairu.

When I initially watched Oregairu I honestly got bored in most parts and was also frustrated with the “romance”. I truly believe I missed something when watching it and completely missed the point it was trying to convey, I also heard the studio favored yui and gave her most of yukinos screen time, so when yukino won, I saw it as a deserved but shallow victory. I’m planning on reading the LN this time instead, but did any of you LN readers notice a difference with the anime?

I love this analysis exactly what I thought when watching oregairu, watching hikigaya grow as a person and becoming the opposite of who he was was really a masterpiece while yukino herself grew as a person. This anime acting as a metaphor for real love and how it should be attained❤️
