nowadays we have a 30 70 blend of 30% cotton and 70% polyester in most of our clothes

Check your tags. Damn near everything has poly or rayon in it. Almost everything is a blend nowadays

Work with plastic and this is one way how we determine whats usable and what aint and sometimes what the plastic is.

Devil's Advocate :

Plastic forms a small black bead and smells like burning plastic. Olefin creates a tan/brown bead. Cotton turns to ash and smells like burning wood/paper. Wool is also ash but smells like burning meat. Hope that helps, especially if you're trying to figure out how to clean the textile. 😁

I have a polyester shirt it caught a little on fire and melt d to by hand and burnt like shit. Definitely try to not wear napalm because it hurts and then sticks
