Also teach them to let go of the toy for a few seconds, have them sit, mark “yes” and then start to play again. Have had 8 dogs, teaches them to have a calm moment, then they can play again. Putting a toy on a leash making a loop around the toy and activate the toy for them to follow, tug and then again…. stop, slowly, gently, have them let go of it…mark, then sit…mark and then play again. Puppies need interactive play with their owners with toys, builds connection and bonding too. You’re doing a great job! 😊

Advice for training a 9 week old puppy (F) when you already have 2 adult dogs? We have a doggie door that the older girls use to potty outside. They are not crate trained bc we never had to with them. My border collie (2F) constantly wants to be with the puppy and vice versa. Everything has been so difficult with the puppy bc of the adult dogs. Me and the husband are also super busy. Any tips would be helpful!
