When my daughter was born my boss called literally 20 mins later to congratulate me. And ask me how soon I could come back because they were really short staffed since I put in for maternity leave. I was so mad I quit on the spot and am still mad about it 27 years later.

My manager texted me every week of maternity leave to ask me if I was still coming back on the agreed upon date. This time I’m pregnant & have a new manager & I told her don’t do that to me & she said “well I’m pretty sure that’s illegal & I would never” lol makes a difference having a good manager

My old boss told me to text her the minute baby arrived, i did. She sent a very excited text, a Venmo for food, and asked our Starbucks order so she could drop it at the nurses station on her way in the next day.
