This video makes me feel seen because my family members around me think i’ve made my daughter a sensitive sleeper but ever since she’s been born she’s always been sensitive to sounds, temperature, movement, etc. they all tell me “Well i trained my babies to be good sleepers and sleep in noise, daylight. Etc.

Currently trying to get my high temperament baby to sleep through the night. Goes down easily by herself. Wakes 10/1/5 give or take an hour each. She can resettle herself sometimes if not a dummy reinsert or bottle works but I’m tired.

First girl was high high high temperament. She finally learned to sleep on her own but it was well over a year. She remains very sensitive at 2.5 years old. She is just now starting to be able to sort of help herself when it comes to being overstimulated. Second girl is absolutely low temperament. She just sleeps no issue and is so content when she’s awake. It truly is night and day. If I had my second the first time around I think I would have been fooled to have 5 more. I’m glad I was humbled by my first and pleasantly surprised by my second.

How do you help a high temperament baby get used to napping say in the car? My baby used to nap in the car(only for 1 sleep cycle) but hit the 4 month sleep regression and has not taken a car nap since and if I. The car too close to nap time scream cries until we get home and will not sleep in the car. But would like to work towards car naps for convenience!!

We visited a nursery and it was open planned and no quiet or dark for the babies to sleep. The manager just said ‘we find they sleep if they are tired’. Well I know my baby sleeps better in the dark and quiet? It put me off anyway!
