@dynastianofficial: On March 6, 1981, Marianne Bachmeier shot and killed Klaus Grabowski in a courtroom in Lübeck. Grabowski had abducted and murdered her 7-year-old daughter, Anna Bachmeier, in 1980. During the trial, Bachmeier smuggled a .22 caliber pistol into the courtroom and fired eight shots at him from behind, killing him on the spot. The case quickly became one of the most famous examples of vigilante justice in modern Europe. Bachmeier openly admitted she intended to kill him and later wrote, “I did it for you, Anna.” In 1983 she was convicted of premeditated manslaughter and sentenced to six years in prison, but was released after serving three. She died of pancreatic cancer in 1996.
