I put in an offer on a house that’s been on the market for over 100 days. Seller countered $7,000 OVER list price. We countered, raising our offer to meet them in the middle and she rejected the offer. To this day it continues to rot on market.

Was looking at a house worth $650k, was on the market for 180 days, offered $600k, seller said "no thanks". 60 days later the sellers agent contacted our agent and asked if we were still interested for $600k, we said nah, but maybe for $550k we would consider. Here I am sitting in my $550k house now worth $1.2 million at 3.125%.

We put in an offer at asking price and seller declined due to being “outbid by $5k”. Two weeks later we get a message asking if we were still interested and and we said yes, but at $15k LESS. The seller accepted and our interest rate is at 2%. We will die in this home 😂

Years ago I put an offer on a house and was $5k away from the listing price. Seller declined. The house later sold for 25k less than my offer a year later. I still laugh when I drive by that house.

My friend bought his place for $200k, it’s in the middle of nowhere and basically a shed. He put work into it, about $10k. He’s been trying to see it for a profit for over a year, and he just keeps saying he won’t go lower and lose money on it. I just don’t understand it. Looking at the history of the houses, they bought them for 260-280k in 2020. Now they’re all listed for $430-480k. No improvements or anything. Like HUH???

House across the street from me has been for sale since May 2025 for $2m, they’ve finally dropped it to $1.9m, and for perspective there’s no house nearby that sold for over $1.2

Seeing houses on the market 1yr+ and they wont lower it, even tho they clearly dont have offers and even the basic pictures show it needs like 100k worth of repairs to be habitable like 🤦🏻

We were looking at houses. One seller refused to let us see the house because our pre-approval was 10k less than their listing price. It sat on the market for over 300 days. Then went to contract and it fell through. Like honestly, that’s what you get.
