Interesting 🤗 it remind me of the quote “to be a top politician you prefereable should be a real dark narcissist”. And then the next quote by Jim Rohn “working on a job makes a living. Working on yourself makes a fortune”. Its normal to confuse fortune with money. But a fortune i’s competence. Its not we know but what we do with what we know. If so then the high earners actually should live shorter do to the stress the put on them self “to play the game”. But when did life turned into a game ?. Some would say “ones we invented money”. But if happiness comes from within and money is an external feeling why does it even matter who earns most ?. Given “excess importance” everything is neutral until we chose to switch focus, meaning “money only have the value we chose to give it”. I will face a shit storm for the following. But some believe the highest value going forward, do to AI, will be authencity… or the old quote “with money follow problems”…

Worked for an organization that was trying to fulfill a sr role. I discussed the role with a key individual and made a recommendation for an internal resource. The response was he was too nice and not aggressive with employees.

I believe it, however as you get older you naturally get grumpier and irritable in meetings without meaning to compared to younger colleagues, so even if you started out as a nice guy, it kind of even outs in the end.

yeah. the people at the jobs with nice agreeable culture are making less than the less agreeable work cultures. I see this in physician private practices. The play nice groups are also the pushover groups that hospitals and payers take advantage of while the hard nosed groups play their cards properly and get proper compensation from their payors/hospitals
