still dont understand the predeliction for mixing acidic things with baking soda.

The reason ketchup kinda works is because it has vinegar in it which is what’s actually doing the work. Adding baking soda adds abrasive powder (think BKF), but it’s alkaline so it actually works against the vinegar.

I have these pans, barkeepers friend works as well. This is an option if you don’t want to to use chemicals. So use chemicals like barkeepers friend for less than $3 or clean with this for $20+. In this economy it seems obvious to me, but to each their own 🤷♀️

There are literal buff marks on the steel/copper bc this sands the surface. I would not use this on any new pots or high shine metals.
