okay but if never put training wheels on my sons bike, hes about to be 4 and he has a tricycle and a balance bike and he preferred the balance bike over the tricycle as soon as he outgrew the balance bike we put him on a bike with no training wheels he took off like a shot an never needed training wheels... balance bikes make it to where they shouldnt need the training wheels at all

I learnt to ride with a normal bike by 2 and a half and by 3 I was doing those races on dirt tracks with little pedal bikes

As someone who has dyspraxia, I would have really benefited from this when I was learning to ride a bike, once the stabilisers came off I was like Bambi on ice, I would have appreciated the extra guidance from my parents with the handle, just for a little bit whilst I got the hang of two wheels

Once the get the balance on the balance bike and get the hang of peddling you don't really need to have control when you remove the training wheels.
