those are drain flies if they are concentrated around your kitchen sink area and spread out from there. It's from having organic matter built up in the drain. they feed and lay eggs in it.
Cleaning mechanically such as with a drain brush is a good start , but the real problem solver is a natural powder called Bio Clean. it's an organic powder with bacteria and enzymes. you add it to your drain at night when no one will be using it for 8 hours or more. the bacteria and enzymes eat all the organic matter in the drain which will basically starve out the drain flies. It may take a few treatments depending on how bad the drain is. don't use any harsh chemicals in the drain after as that will kill off the good bacteria.

The drains…especially since I think you may have a disposal or insinkerator (depending on where you’re from). If you have a black plastic thing in one of your sink drains, that needs to be cleaned. Put on gloves, grab from under it, and pull it straight up. Clean and sanitize both parts, then push it (real good) back in place.

It depends n the species. You are probably talking about fruit flies. You have to eliminate the food source. If you have fruit sitting out on the counter or any dirty dishes in the sink. You have to clean everything up and put stuff away.

This is a start... Fill your garbage disposal with ice up to the top. Turn it on with water running down the disposal. This helps clean the inside of the disposal of food particles sometimes left behind.

Do not keep food outdoors. Especially fruits and vegetables. You must always keep it in the refrigerator
