Are they just volume? Because hearing aids are equalizers as well, providing different volume for different frequencies depending on the user's needs.

I tried these in store based on this video. They were awful. Tinny and could hear myself with a delay even after calibrating. Poor build quality as well. I hope this channel isn’t just going to become ads for crappy products

gosh I'd love to know the price point. I doubt they'd be able to replace my dad's $8000 hearing aids but he frequently misplaces them and forgets to wear them. but he also wears readers a lot (but he has many pairs because he forgets/loses/breaks those too). If he could have readers WITH hearing assistance in them that could help him a lot. And no, my dad's not suffering from dementia or anything, he's just oblivious.
