The Tornado Intercept Vehicle 2 (TIV 2) is a heavily armored mobile laboratory and filming platform designed to drive directly into the heart of a tornado. It was conceived and built by IMAX filmmaker and professional storm chaser Sean Casey in 2008 as the successor to the original TIV, with the goal of capturing high-definition footage from inside the vortex for the film Tornado Alley.
