There used to be names. Even dudes like Joe Lauzon, people you knew and were excited to see. I'm just not excited to see dozens of last names I can't pronounce with styles that are the all the same, knowing the fight isn't going to be competitive but it will still last 15 minutes, all the while thinking "I thought that guy fought in light/welter/middle weight?". Champions never defend their belts, nobody fights often enough to become a fan favorite.

Arman is a great example of this. All of the fans have been saying the same thing, we want to see him fight Ilia. yet they never make it happen, they allow Ilia to keep ducking, now he's on this hiatus and Arman is doing all these side quests, dude could be the biggest cash cow for the UFC and they just aren't having it because Dana got triggered over him pulling out that one time like how freaking long ago? They really are screwing themselves out of money and screwing the fans in the process. We don't want to see some fight between Ilia and Justin, don't get it twisted just indefinitely deserves a shot, he deserves to be able to win that belt. But we all want to see Arman and Ilia. But that's their little poster boy just like Conor McGregor. skipping all the prestigious fights to take on the easy wins and it's not entertaining. honestly the UFC really just lost its appeal because it never listens to the fans. Imagine how much greater they could be if they actually listened to us and what we wanted to see. What we are willing to pay money to see.
