I completely agree, pleather makes me genuinely angry, it doesn't last and it's bad for the environment, leather jackets can last 50+ years if treated well, my first one was a hand me down from the 80s worn frequently since then and still with no vasable damage or severe aging

Real fur ESPECIALLY old fur is much much more sustainable and better than throwing it away also (especially if you live up north) it is a way better option than a puffer coat/ski coat in the winters and is often a go to for most northerners at least in my area
