I have a border collie. I walk him off lead. If he gets too far infront. I hide and he turns around and can’t find me so it’s like hide and seek. Makes him look back often for the rest of the walk and not get too far infront

I did the hide and seek with my girl as a pup, to this day she’s ALWAYS got eyes on me. I used to duck behind a bush or tree if she was off sniffing away and not paying attention once she realised she couldn’t see me, she would panic a-little then id come back into view. Off leash, it works wonders by teaching them to always have an eye on you. Her recall is phenomenal. 🙌🏼🫶🏼

Agreed we have 4 kids and we have taught him to herd them when. They run that way he is chasing them and than they will turn and chase him for his ball. He thinks it is the greatest game for engagement

I’ve done this with all my dogs and do it now with my 15 week old puppy and when people come over they are so amazed at her recall. So much fun when you get a good hiding spot to really makes them look 😂

I have played hide and seek many times with my dogs especially when they were being stubborn and not listening and was like in a f uk you stage… well the tables weee turned when they couldn’t see me an they panicked… they learned very quick not to fuck with mama 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😉🥰🥰🥰🥰

Haha I do this with my dog, it’s the only way that I can ever catch him to put him back on the leash! 😩. He thinks his recall is a game and just wants to be chased, now he chases me instead 😂🤦🏽♀️
