@sophinvests: When it comes out of your pay each week it’s easy to ignore. But when you line up salary vs total tax for the year… it hits a bit different 😅 These are the actual income tax amounts Australians pay on salary. And while it’s easy to complain about tax (fair enough), it’s also the reason a lot of the things we take for granted actually exist. Hospitals, schools, roads, public transport, emergency services… the list goes on. So while paying tax isn’t exactly fun, it’s also one of the ways a country funds the basics that make everyday life work. A necessary part of the system, even if we’re allowed to complain about it. Not the most fun bill we pay, but definitely one of the most important 🧾
