my dogs always sat on top of the couch cushions or in between when the twins were down. my pug always howls if you don't greet him, the day I brought the twins home and I put them in the crib he went over and howled at them.

That was my girl pit bull with my son she loved him like he was her own pup. lol she passed away when he was 3 and still talks about her he’s now 5.

That is adorable, but I would still advise parents who have a pet that keeps licking a baby or a child, have that child checked out by a doctor for things like diabetes or cystic fibrosis
