You need to clove oil to kill the spores. Unfortunately you will need to replace the mattress. Before replacing the mattress you need to find out what's causing the mould and address that first otherwise it will occur again.

Get some of those little dehumidifier bags from bunnings. So good. Will suck the place dry. Keep reheating them and reuse hundreds of times. They are about $15 each.

Go on Facebook marketplace and get a free mattress or a pretty cheap mattress. This is what I did for my van. And then even buy some slats to put under the mattress.

You need to get a carpenter or someone that is experienced in using a power tool to drill holes in your wood that under your mattress , that one of the reason as to why you have mould there. Good luck

Yeah the mattress straight on-top of wood is not good. You need more air flow under mattress. Cut holes in wood or raise mattress on-top of something that air can flow around

you need to run an ionizer in there! and then get a small dehumidifier in there! the ionizer will kill everything organic. Dehumidifier will keep it from coming back!

I live in a van, the reason this is happening is because you need to put holes in your bed, they can just be round holes like the size of a coffee cup or even smaller, you can air you van out everyday and it keep happening until you holes in your bed, this is why beds come with slates

Put hole in timber and paint the timber with a gloss paint. Mold is less likely to grow on gloss paint.

Ahh, girl, you might need to replace the mattress, the wood, use mold killer, and you need holes in the wood for airflow. These can be drilled, or even cut the mold chunk out and put bed slats? If that’s possible in your setup? And maybe mold kill/ check the wood weekly x
