Rounded shoulders aren't a chest problem. Your lower traps quit and nobody told you. Look at any gym floor. Chest, front delts, lats, over and over. All of it pulls you forward. Nothing pulls you back. So the shoulders roll in, the chest caves, and from the side you read as a guy who sits at a desk all day, not a guy who trains. Quick test, standing where you are. Let your arms hang and look at your hands. If your palms face behind you, your shoulder blades have been living forward for years. Your lateral delts physically can't pop when your frame is folded forward. They need something holding the blades down and back so the delt has a place to sit. That's the lower traps. Not shrugs. Shrugs pull your shoulders up toward your ears and make the problem worse. Chest-supported Y-raise. Face down on an incline bench kills momentum, so your upper traps can't hijack the rep. The fix, before your next pull day: 1️⃣ Chest on a 30 to 45 degree incline, dumbbells hanging, thumbs up 2️⃣ Set the shoulder blades and lock them there 3️⃣ Drive the arms up into a Y without letting the blades move 4️⃣ Lower, then fully release the blades to a dead hang before the next rep 3 sets of 10 to 12. Go embarrassingly light, 5 to 10 lb. If you feel it in your neck, the weight is too heavy and your upper traps just stole the rep. The burn belongs in the mid back, below the blades. Almost everyone skips step 4. Reset every rep and it stops being a swing. Save this and check yourself in a t-shirt in two weeks 👇 Comment below which muscle you want me to break down My Full Body Strength program already has this built into the week. Every day is a finished session, exercises in the order that actually holds your posture together. Open Day 1 and lift.
