@top.rock.music: In 1970, Mick Jagger asked art student John Pasche from the Royal College of Art to design a logo for the band. Pasche was paid about £50 (roughly $65 at the time) for the original design. Inspired partly by Jagger’s distinctive lips and the rebellious spirit of rock music, the bold red tongue quickly became the perfect symbol for The Rolling Stones. What started as a simple graphic for tour materials and album packaging soon turned into one of the most recognizable logos in music history. Decades later, it still appears on concert stages, merchandise, and albums around the world. Sometimes the most iconic ideas start as the simplest sketches. #rollingstones #rockhistory #musiclegend #mickjagger #rockandroll
