Grain from 2007 till 2019 was pretty darn good. And I think we all need to look back at the generation before us for some insight. Especially the ones that farmed through the 80’s and 90’s. Those were hard times too. But this Iron, inputs and neighbourhood greed got us into this predicament. Maybe this is that realignment we all talk about.

Inputs are sky rocketing and commodity prices have tanked. I’m planning to let go a lot of my rented land. Less land less losses.

Yeah it’s pretty scary isn’t it?! I’m trying some IP canola with Bunge this year… couple bucks a bushel higher and picked up on farm. Worth looking at. I was even thinking Flax but decided to go this route instead…

We dropped our coverage down to 50% from 80%. Mind you we haven’t been in a claim in a couple years but the difference in premiums was ridiculous, everyone wants their pound of flesh I guess
