I get it. She's not abandoning her child. She's saving them from a bad situation by giving the child back to creator. The child also deserves a good life. Who knows when the right time comes. And all are stable. That same child will be hers again.

As someone’s daughter, I would still let my mom walk through that door. Because before she was my mother, she was a woman with dreams, hopes, and a life she once imagined for herself. I want her to chase that life, the one she may have quietly set aside while choosing everyone else first. If the life she truly wanted did not include a husband or a child, then I would never see that as selfish. How could it be, when she has already spent so many years loving, sacrificing, and giving so much of herself? She has carried the weight of caring for others long enough. So to my mom, if that door ever stands in front of you, don’t look back in guilt. Don’t stay because of me. Walk through it with courage. Go and live the life you once dreamed of—the life you still deserve.
