The Fibula is not considered a weight bearing bone, therefore, as long as it stable and non-displaced, they just let it heal. I would definitely avoid high impact exercise, especially without do

your tibia takes about 85% of the weight bearing load so depending on how stable the fracture and its location might not be bothered

Same with my PAO surgery I got!! They broke my hip socket in four pieces and screwed me back together… I still have the 3 screws in my hip, I could lift and walk long walks / light ish jog when it was 75% healed!!
