Founders tell themselves a lot of things: “Hard to find good people.” “I’m always burnt out.” “No one gets it.” “I have to suffer first.” Some of that is real, but sometimes it’s just easier to believe that than to change how the business is built. Good people exist. Not all A-players. Some just need time. Stress happens, but if it’s the same stress every year, something isn’t evolving.
