Dogs are our babies too. I don’t expect equal treatment to a human child, I just wish airlines saw dogs as more than cargo, no matter how much you pay.#dogsoftikok #dogtravel #travelwithdogs #fyp #toypoodle seeing everyone's comments, just want to clarify a few things: 1. I never said I expect equal treatment to a human child. because I respect people who don't like pets, I always try my best to make sure mine doesn't bother them (this flight was necessary since I was bringing Boodoo home, and I haven't flown with him since. he only got some air through the net for less than 5 minutes before going back in on his own, the person next to me was my partner, not a stranger who might not be okay with pets, and he didn't make a single sound the whole flight). in return, I just hope pet owners get that same respect, neither side is above the other. 2. some airlines offer a seat for your pet, others, like the one I flew with, didn't offer that option at the time. if it had been available, I would've bought him one no matter the cost. but airlines are choosing to profit off this and charging quite a lot for it, shouldn't the service match the price? so where exactly did my £200 pet ticket go? is that price just for the

I get it's for passenger safety, but is it wrong for an owner to feel uncomfortable seeing that? and if something actually went wrong mid flight, there wouldn't even be time to undo all that. airlines themselves admit air travel can cause severe stress in pets, which in the worst cases can even be fatal, so if you're going to argue otherwise, it might be worth looking into that first.
