I pushed him away for 2 years because I felt overwhelmed with doing almost everything and when he finally did leave (our 7 year relationship) he entered a relationship immediately but I didn’t know and a week later we are hanging out happy as ever. Fast forward 7 months I find out he has a girlfriend but he’s not giving me up either. I don’t understand any of it.

You have to have a champagne mindset. You may be seeing your glass as half empty, your avoidant thinks his glass is half full. Settle for less youre not a faucet. What you are pouring to your avoidant is special and expensive. Its your love. Treat it like champagne. Dont over pour. Pour small. Because loving an avoidant without triggering them has to start small in a long process. Like the making of that champagne. You never throw your love away. You pour it little by little. You are expensive and valuable. Hope this helps.
