My BIL dropped the ring before coming up front. It bounced and landed in the heating vent. Had it been winter time, the ring would have traveled to the boiler. I found out after the ceremony.

One of my dear friends from college was going to sing a solo at my wedding (2009). The day of, he was almost recovered from a cold if I remember correctly but he was hoarse during his illness and his voice wasn't quite back to 100%. We told him not to worry, and he could just do the best he could if he felt comfortable doing it, otherwise, we could just play they music he was going to sing along to. When it was time for his solo, the people working the tech booth couldn't get the music to play. The minister asked him quietly, can you sing a capella? He nodded, no. So we just kinda got a giggle out of it and moved onto the next part of the ceremony. I'm sure he felt bad but we told him to please not feel bad. It's still a funny memory of our wedding day. Not everything always goes according to plan but the day is still special and wonderful, or it was for us. ❤️

When my brother got married I had waist long hair and we were doing our own hair so I brought my hair dryer because with that much hair needed a strong one haha well that day it poured rain and all our dressed including the brides dress. Well thankfully I had my stuff with us including that hair dryer so we dried all the dresses saving the day 😂😂

I was a wedding planner for 18 years. I had a couple that wanted to get married in a gazebo that was surrounded by a pond. When the minister took the wedding ring, it slipped and fell in the water 🤦🏻♀️. The ring was never found.

@WendyLouWho: We had our wedding planned and everything with a date set, then Operation Enduring Freedom kicked off heavier after 9/11. My husband/then fiancé was called in and told he was going to be deployed within a week. We knew he wasn’t going to be home for the wedding date and due to the nature of his deployment we didn’t know how long he would be gone. So I rented a dress really quick that mostly fit, and we got married in our church with just myself, my son, our bishop, and two witnesses we didn’t know. Family couldn’t make it because we were stationed overseas and our local friends couldn’t make it because they had been deployed two days before. Instead of renewing our vows when he finally returned home we put the money into an awesome honeymoon.

our wedding cake wasn't delivered! $800+ cake! My aunt missed the ceremony to run and grab a sheet cake from the grocery store. And to top it all off, the bakery didn't want to refund our money!

My friend had booked a wedding entertainment package (dj, photographer, videoographer) the company went under and never said a word just 2 weeks before her wedding. Her story went on the news and some very nice people volunteered their time for her as she had already paid the other company in full and was put thousands of dollars

My brother and I went to my apartment to get something I can’t remember. A mail truck back into my parents truck and we had to wait for the police and a mail inspector. I arrived at the venue 10 minutes before the ceremony was to start. My makeup was already done so I was ready in time and nothing was delayed. We divorced 4 years later!

I was the MOH at my friend's wedding. My friend is notorious for being late to everything lol. At the rehearsal while everyone was saying goodbye, the groom jokingly said to the Bride " see you at 2:30 ( the wedding was scheduled for 2 lol). The groom jinx the whole morning! que the next day, all of us girls are ready to go to the church but in true fashion the bride was running behind. I didn't want to wear my shoes till I got there and somehow lost them between the house and the church so I went barefoot down the aisle. Because We are running behind we are trying to hurry to get the Bride dressed and one of the underwires of her bra was exposed and ripped part of her dress. no big deal we fixed it quick. It's now 230 lol the ceremony is starting, but the bad luck does not stop there. during the Union candle lighting somehow the brides veil catches fire. thank God after that everything else ran smoothly 😂
