Pronounced “punch-key”. They’re popular around Fat Tuesday/Lent because they were traditionally made to get rid of sugar/eggs/butter or lard before Lenten fasting. Try the Bavarian ones next time 😋😋😋

I think the hype is in the tradition of growing up and having these before lent starts. I think the glazed with raspberry filling is the more traditional flavor (not positive) but those are the best in my opinion. 😊

They are popular in Michigan. They are supposed to be completely stuffed. Almost more filling than donut lol. They are so good though. My local bakery does a ton of fun ones every year. This year we tried a cannoli one, a Dubai one, a carrot cake one, and a German chocolate. Grocery stores are usually lacking in the filling department and are more like a traditional donut.

omg my polish donuts! Paczki (Polish donuts) are pronounced "POONCH-key" (singular: pączek, pronounced "POON-check") You should try one from polish bakery with rose jam and glaze! the best in NYC

It’s so weird when you are watching a video when someone is eating and it looks soooo good from this end. And as you take a bite and we wait for the reaction and you say “it’s not that good” but it looked so good when you took a bite! Then i get sad for you bc i knew how excited you were! I love the new nails!!!!💚🖤 I did mine for st paddy’s. 🍀
