They interact with me because i have cared for them since they were tiny. And socialization Is intense and requires a lot of time. So trade in your nice clothes for torn sweats and t shirts. Be prepared to spend time sitting wherever they will meet you. Because they do things on their own terms. Everyday, in the heat, the cold you must spend much time with them. An hour a Day wont do it. You also have to expose them to every noise and person and environment to prevent them from being frightened. They will always be very cautious regardless. They don’t often travel well. Also get out Your Wallet. Each one can eat several pounds of meat at one meal. I have traded human conversation for growls and howls. Make up for slobbery kisses. Also count on Many scratches and nips. Inevitably, there will probably come a day when Your lip gets busted open from an excited animal lunging to great you. And i definitely don’t wear jewelry with them. Their eyes Will catch every single thing you have. And If they want it, they Will try to steal it, and will often succeed no matter where you put things. They love to perch. Your tables and countertops Will be their favorite. Can they be trained? Absolutely and sort of. Some people do really well with this and have them as ambassador animals to teach people about their many amazing traits. Which they absolutely have. They are also independent thinkers and have prey drive. So even with a well trained animal, a walk through a meadow, and a bunny rabbit crossing, could turn into you getting drug through the field. And their power and strength is a whole different topic. In general, a 6 foot fence may not be adequate. They can dig, climb and jump. And boy are they ever intelligent. In no time, many will learn to open cupboards, latches and doors. This Is just a tiny bit of information about what it take to care for one. So many more aspects. And I’m Always learning. ♥️
