Hiring a videographer was a non-negotiable for me. While it’s an investment, the team we chose does it all—engagement sessions, IG reels, and those "getting ready" shots. Because we have such great coverage, I’m implementing a "no phones" policy for the ceremony. I want every person we hand-selected to be fully in the moment with us, not behind a screen. Regarding bridesmaids, I think it depends on the wedding size. If you’re planning for 100+ guests, having a committed group to help you through the thick of it is a lifesaver. I actually looked up bridal party expectations to see what they really do, and it made me realize how much I wanted my girls by my side.

Definitely no phones…. I just don’t want my ceremony or dress posted before I get to post but that’s just me. I love a a beautiful outside so less decor is needed or required to fill the space unless the indoor is an immaculate space. Now I’m torn on the content creator and videographer too I know that vibe I want just do no who is better to bring the vision.

With outdoors think about your entrance a bunch of outdoor weddings ppl see u prior to the walk down the aisle “moment” so if u want a grand reveal keep that n mind

These are def hard decisions 😭 in my option No phones for the ceremony (for picture purposes & keeps it intimate). indoors and maybe cocktail hour outdoors depending on the season & where and I agree with the bridal party esp bc I have a lot of sisters and best friends it's just too much 😩

The no cell phone thing is so that during the ceremony the photographer can capture pictures without guests having their phones hiding their faces. It truly lets everyone be in the moment. I think a happy medium is having no cell phones but then having your officiant allow for pictures on the phones at certain times of the ceremony guests would usually want to take pictures at

I would be on the fence about a bridal party too and I’ve been seeing TikToks on bridal parties and how they aren’t “needed”, all the stress of managing other people, what they pay for vs what the bride pays for and I’m like 😬.. also one bride brought up a good point that these are people who are making a commitment well in advance and you never know

Now videographer and content creator, I think you should get both. Just keep searching for someone within budget. Sometimes it’s best to state your budget for it prior to. Some vendors would give a better price for marketing as well.

Tbh let’s be real. What’s going to last longer…. The pictures, videos over time become glitchy and or low quality, especially if you upgrade your phone. Pictures you can print however many you want and store them. I say content creator

Videographer- look up Reel Love Films they can give you the best of both worlds and I LOVE working with Javar. Cellphones- NO, you risk posting your wedding before you get a chance to, people need to be tapped in to the moment, no cell ceremony but they can do it at the reception. Indoor or Outdoor- Indoors is the best option weather is too unpredictable you and your guests want to be comfortable and you can have better control over the temps, unwanted sounds, and insects indoors than you can outdoors and nothing worse than having an ambulance siren going past or an annoying animal sound in the background of your video while you are saying your vows. Bridal Party- Keep it small and cute 3-5 max

Hi 2025 bride here , definitely get a content creator the short raw footage captured was beautiful I was able to get so much content to create my own reels and they also make one for you , if you want content on your social media I def recommend, i also had a videographer try to find one that does photos / videos and only hire for a certain time frame to keep within budget you don’t need one all day ..I was the same about the phones but honestly it didn’t matter to me ..actually some of my guest captured beautiful content . Far as bridal party if you can limit it you will be way less stressed bridal parties are unnecessary stress on top of the stress of planning a wedding , maybe 2 the most but the horror stories about bridal parties are true .

Do your own content, assign some friends or family whether they’re in the wedding or just a guest to record certain moments. Have a timeline and highlight the moments you want to capture. Have everyone who you’ve assigned to send the videos and you can edit them how you want.

Hire a videographer! Most of them will create a 6-10 minute video and some will do a social media sneak peak video! We are so excited for the video vs the pics! I don’t care about an unplugged ceremony! Take pics bookies just stay out of the photographers way.

Best moments most times comes from your audience, I think definitely let them keep their phones for the ceremony. Indoor for ceremony, never had a great experience at outdoor ceremonies. It’s either extremely hot or weather just funky, but GOD 🤭. No bridesmaids is smart especially if you have a lot of friends. I had an amazing bridal party, but I hear horror stories. So go with your heart on this fully.
