The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting citizens affected by the disaster. “The government will continue to provide the necessary support to our affected fellow citizens,” Abiy stated, adding that appropriate studies and sustained efforts must be undertaken to address the problem in a lasting manner. Prime Minister also stressed the importance of implementing preventive measures to reduce the risk of similar disasters in the future.
