When I was growing up, the early warning system was the police officer who lived on the corner and his lights and sirens going off at that same time woke up the entire neighborhood

good friend lost her home in that giant Tuscaloosa one about 15 years ago- tornado was so loud she didn't hear the sirens. only reason she WASN'T in her bed when the tree collapsed on it was her husband had heard it all and pulled her into shelter in time.

My brother ( geological scientist ) is my warning system … 😂😂he’s going to get to me one way or another … but also my alarm system gives alerts until you physically turn it off and the minute we have a threat I’m in that app watching
