People don't get it. I am at the point where everyone already has their people, friends they have had for years and that's where their loyalty is. It's not that easy to make deep friendships when almost everyone has more close friends than me

Literally me rn. I have an online friend who I’ve known for 4 years now, she’s a good person, genuinely. But she’s not my friend. She has real life friends who are 10+ years besties and I can see her prioritising them a lot over me. And I get that, I do. But every time she has issues, she goes to me and tells me about them, I listen and reassure her and stuff, then during the day I’d check up on her and ask how she’s doing and if she’s okay. Do I ever get that energy back? Never ever ever. I never get a ‘are you okay?’ ‘How’re you?’ ‘What did you do today?’ From her. It hurts. So I decided to step back from this friendship and I honestly don’t know if I can continue being friends with her. Maybe more like acquaintances but never how I used to be.

I'm mostly tired of friends saying we're family but they don't mean that, it's just something fun to say. making friends that I interact with regularly is really hard as an adult so I hear all of this.

Never tell anyone you have no family or friends. Go with being a adventurous soul and need help today and if they can’t help be like cool. What comes around goes around and never never help them. I have 3 friends that are ride or die. Im 50 you’ll pick those friends up as you go in life. You don’t need a lot of friends. They are draining on your energy.

pick up a hobby. but focus on the hobby part not the friends part and over time the friends come naturally. keep busy with various hobbies so one isn't the main focus
